Live music has always been an important part of what we offer. We proudly showcase some of the top talent in the country, and strive to present a wide variety of quality jazz, r&b, zydeco, blues, and more, with a careful ear toward groups that bring something unique to the table.

Helping to keep those standards high is Crabby Daddy’s music director, world renowned jazz guitarist Chris Cortez. Chris leads his own group most Friday evenings and plays host to a wide variety of guest artists who round out his amazing quartet each week. Chris also runs a succesful recording studio and record label, which keeps him in constant touch with the best of Houston’s talent pool.

Our current schedule features -

Thursdays - The Guzzlers. Texas blues based rock group, guaranteed to make your mid week sizzle.

Fridays - Chris Cortez and Friends. Our house band plays a wide variety of jazzy selections. Latin, swing, funk, blues, fusion, and more. Cortez has a pleasing, bluesy singing voice, but you won’t believe your ears as he blazes on guitar. Truly awesome! These guys have been covered in all the national jazz magazines, have many CDs out, and are really unique and full of surprises.

Saturdays - Each week we showcase a different group on Saturday. Featuring regular appearances by The Jimmie Hunter Group, Max Catt, Phat Cats, Tommy Peters, Brennen Nase, Texas Johnny Boy, Crabbelonious Funk, and more!

We often feature music on other nights of the week for special events, an occasional brunch, holidays, and sometimes just because. Lets face it, we’re music lovers! Check our calendar often to see what’s cooking on our stage.

Crawfish Season Zydeco: During crawfish season, February thru June, Our huge patio is the perfect setting for authentic live zydeco every Saturday and Sunday. And beginning on Fat Tuesday, Crabbydaddy runs a perpetual Fat Tuesday celebration with live zydeco throughout the crawfish season. It's the next best thing to being on Bourbon Street at Mardi Gras. Music starts at 6 PM on Thursdays and 7 PM on weekends. No cover charge. Always family friendly.
