In the Spring of 2005, we placed a few tables and chairs on our patio, in front of the restaurant, and lo' and behold, people sat in them. So we bought some more the next week. We had such a beautiful spring season that we thought “How nice it would be to offer some music for our patio diners on the weekend evenings.” So we did. The patio began to fill up on the weekends. But Houston days quickly became scorchers and we knew that if we were to keep the concept going we had to get into some “climate control.” We constructed a tent, some outdoor ceiling fans, and placed a few more fans here and there and the evenings were tolerable if not comfortable, and we continued to fill up our patio with diners all summer long. Now, during our first winter, we have the challenge of the “cold” to deal with. We bought some outdoor tower heaters, and “poof”, the problem is solved. It is quite comfortable on the patio even when temperatures drop into the 30s. So our music plays on every weekend, all year long. (see our “Calendar” section) General Manager, and VP, Nick Chagouris contacted his long-standing friend and very talented jazz vocalist and flautist, Dana Rogers, (http://www.danarogers.us) for some musical advice. Dana jumped into action and soon became Nick's Musical Director.
